 OSA (Softball) Headlines 7/12 - 7/15 Minimize

July 15

With wins Jacobson Bros./Cornertone and The Next Bar 3 moved into a second place tie in Thursday Night B League action with The Next Bar 2. The teams are now 6 - 5 on the season.

Mr. Ice/Hartland Electric lead-off batter Mike Bolson batted 4-for-4 with two doubles and the team's 8-7 win over DABS/Our Savior's kept them in first place even though they are tied with NorthWater Property Dev. with each team havaing a 10-1 record.

July 14

With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and a runner on second base Scott Krueger hit a slow roller down the third base line that was played intoa single. On the play Scott Kloss score the winning run and KFM Financial was the winner 13-12. The win kept the team tied with Berg's Landscaping (who beat TNT Rescue 16-3) for first place. KFM and Berg's meet at 6 p.m. Wedesday

The standings tightened in the Wednesday B League as Schwefel's Restaurant and Bulldog Towing continuted to win an Golner's lost its third game of the season. With three game remaining the two second place teams are but ONE game out of first place. Bulldog and Golner's play at 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

 

July 12

State Farm eked out a 3-2 win over Foolery's and Sanders Construction defeated Freedom Investors 11-3 setting up a show-down between the two first-place 9 and 1 teams next week in the Monday B League.

Buddy Ebert scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning for The Next Bar 2 when Stolley's right center fielder booted a gapper. Ebert score three of Next Bar's runs and now Next Bar 2, Stolley's and Siding Unlimited are all tied at 5-5 with four games left to play in the Monday Night A League.

July 1

Aaron Boldt stings a walk-off single in the top of the eighth inning, scoring brother Steve in Breakshots 9-6 win over The Next Bar 4 in Thursday A League action.

Gordy Drygalski belts a bomb and Jim Duffy bangs two bloops as Jacobso Bros./Cornerstone downs The Next Bar 2  12-9 in Thursday B League play.

June 30

Michelle Bruss hits a sacrifice fly that scores Jon Schmeling giving Dottie's a 5-4 victory over KFM Financial for Financial's first loss of the season. Berg's Landscaping's 15-0 win over The Next Bar put KFM and Berg's in a dead-heat for first place...again... as both teams are 8-1 in Wednesday A League play.

The wins and losses of the night in Wednesday B League action put five teams within one game of each other. Golner's still leads with a record of 8-0, three games ahead of anyone else.

June 29

John Halaska belts four singles and scores four runs as St. Paul's defeats Winger's 23-8 in Tuesday A League action.

Hope Lutheran/A Better Choice evened its record to 3-3 with two drubbings of Breakshots, 24-2 and 24-6, in Tuesday B League action. Tim Taubenheim had a 7-for-7 night with a home run and triple along the way.

June 28

Jake Miller pounds grand slammer for Next Bar 2, team still loses to Next Bar 1 19-15 in Monday  A League action.

John Schultz's ERA balloons to infinity.00 in relief appearance for Next Bar

In B League play Freedom Investors downd State Farm Insurance 19-17 to give the Insurance guys their first loss of the season. The seven run third inning was highlighted with doubles from Nate Holland and Matt Wohfeil

Mr. Ice/Hartland Electric's 11-4 win over NorthWater Properties Dev. puts both teams atop the division with 7-1 records.

The Next Bar 3's Willie Hodges batted 2-for-2 with a double as the team handed  Oliver Construction its first loss of the season.

Dustin Johnson goes yard — twice in the Tappers one run victory over the Tappers 2.

Sanders Construction stays hot on the heels of league-leadng State Farm with 18 runs in two innings.

Breakshots wins two to improve to 3-4 on the season.

Mike Hammer was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and triple for Jacobson Bros. in Thursday B League play.

 

Oliver Construction outfielder Conor Farley rounds third base and scores the team's first run in the Thursday evening win.

10-run rally in top of first inning, highlighed by Tom Westerman's dinger leads to victory for State Farm.
